SealSkinz have become world-renowned for their waterproof socks and gloves. All their products feature a seamless three-layer construction - an inner layer to wick moisture away from the skin (Coolmax or Merino wool), an outer layer designed for extra durability and abrasion resistance, and laminated inbetween these layers is SealSkinz' patented 100% waterproof breathable membrane. This allows perspiration to escape whilst preventing water coming in. This membrane typically has 65% more breathability than other materials such as goretex.

The Trekking Socks are developed specifically for hiking in more arduous conditions. This sock has a thick, padded loop piled layer of Merino wool for the thoes, sole, heel and achilles area to give extra protection, comfort and support. The extended length provides additional protection up the calf. As issued to the British Army.
