These Haix Desert Scout Combat Boots have been specifically developed for the British military.
These boots fall within the MOD's specification for "Boots Desert Combat High Liability (BDCHL)". The official specification states "The BDCHL is primarily for intensive combat use, although it may also be used for light patrolling. Terrain including desert, sand, field, track, road, rubble and rock. The area of use and terrain embraces climatic areas A1/A2 as described in the Defence Standard 00-35 (Part 4); this covers temperatures ranging from -10°C to +45°C and and 0%rH to 80%rH. The extremes of this range will be for short periods of use and in combination i.e. with Warm Weather or ECW socks.
