These Haix Alaska Cold/Wet Weather Combat Boots have been specifically developed for the British military.
These boots fall within the MOD's specification for "Boots Cold Wet Weather (BCWW)". The official specification states "The BCCW is primarily for use in cold/wet environments. Worn by military personnel deployed in the field on training exercises and operations in the winter months. The boot is worn in cold/wet conditions which may fall to -19°C. Terrain including rough off road/moorland, Arctic and coastal areas. The area of use and terrain embraces climatic areas C1/C0 as described in Defence Standard 00-35 (Part 4); this covers temperatures ranging from -19°C to +20°C. The extremes of this range will be for short periods of use and in combination with ECW socks and GS or Snow Gaiters."
Founded in the Bavarian town of Mainburg in 1948, Haix built up a reputation for high quality boots for fire-fighting professionals. Since then they have expanded their range with boots for hunting and military.
These are used boots and so may arrive with some mud and/or scuffs and scratches, but they are very rugged and so have plenty of life left in them. We cannot offer any guarantees as to the cosmetic condition of these boots. Also, we cannot guarantee that the gore-tex membrane is still 100% waterproof as we do not know the usage history of the boots.
