These Haix Scout Combat Boots have been specifically developed for the British military.
Together with the Altberg Defender boots, these are the new issue boots designed to be worn with the MTP uniform.
These boots fall within the MOD's specification for "Boots Combat High Liability (BCHL)". The official specification states "The BCHL is primarily for intensive combat use, although it may also be used for lightweight patrolling. Terrain including field, track, road, rubble and rock. The area of use and terrain embraces climatic areas A3 and C0 as described in Defence Standard 00-35 (Part 4); this covers temperatures ranging from -10C to +35C and 0%rH to 80%rH. The extremes of this range will be for short periods of use and in combination i.e. with Warm Weather or Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) socks and GS Gaiter."
Founded in the Bavarian town of Mainburg in 1948, Haix built up a reputation for high quality boots for fire-fighting professionals. Since then they have expanded their range with boots for hunting and military.
These are used boots and so may arrive with some mud and/or scuffs and scratches, but they are very rugged and so have plenty of life left in them. We cannot offer any guarantees as to the cosmetic condition of these boots. Also, we cannot guarantee that the gore-tex membrane is still 100% waterproof as we do not know the usage history of the boots.

Reviews
Fine Comat Foots
These boots were made for serious wear under tough conditions. They are comfortable to wear with suitable socks and needed little break-in. There were no obvious signs of wear, and if it was claimed that such wear as there is was storage wear only, I would believe it. I am very pleased indeed, especially at the price.
Pros: Instep lock, Comfortable fit, Stout constructio, Very moderate price
Cons: None, so far
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes
