These are available in five sizes from size 5 (our size XS) up to size 1 (our size XL).
As with all surplus items, caution should be exercised if using items such as this in a potentially dangerous situation as some items may have gone beyond their expected life span and have reduced effectiveness. We sell items such as this as collector's pieces only.
Q & A's
Q & A's
Q: I see you supply this in differemt sizes, but the sizes are quite... Arbitrary. Approximately how big is the small size? Are you using a universal mask scale? This is my first time contemplating buying a respirator, so I'm quite the novice :P
A: The sizes are based in the scale printed on the mask itself, which is from 1 to 5. But we don't have any further sizing information unfortunately.
Q: Is this an actual real gas mask that can be used in a real situation?
A: It is a real gas mask but as it is already used we do not sell it as functional. We sell as a collector's item only.
Q: does this mask include the filter?
A: No, but we sometimes have filters available separately
Q: I understand the grading system of your products but am wondering if the NBC S10 gas mask will do the job it was made for when you state 'sold as seen without any guarantees'? Is the rubber seal still in servicable condition and have they more or less maintained their original shape?
A: Generally, these are in good condition. But as these are used items, and we do not know their history, we cannot sell them as working gas masks. We offer them here as a collectable or novelty item only.
Q: Does this mask come with the plastic fitting which is to be used during training to simulate reduced air flow, without having to break the seal on a filter?
A: No, this is not included.

Very good buy
I collect gas mask and this is a very very lightweight gasmask it has very good breathing ability, and even has a switch where if you switch it down a straw slides down into your mouth and you unplu the end of the straw on the exterior so you can drink without removing the mask.
Pros: Easy breathing aperatus, Very good eye vision, Comfortable, Lightweight, Adjustable straps
Cons: none
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes

I can't believe I own an s10!
I ordered the s10 gas mask from mean and green expecting the mask to be a 1986 or 89' model and expecting it to take 2 or more weeks to arrive, I was wrong, the mask is a 2003 model and it arrived in less than 10 days all the way here to Australia! A scratch on the left lens and some small scratches on the right, few marks here and there and the bottom left head strap is broken (the straps are replaceable) which are hardly noticeable, these as you would have thought, are actually not cons, they give the mask character and I wonder the previous user/s of them so I am actually very content and happy that I may have a mask that was used by soldiers from the UK! I am so happy with this product, I am thinking of ordering one more for myself and my friends are surprised of the cheap price so they will be taking a look. If you are a fan of the SAS or are a gas mask collector or if you just love the way the s10 looks then mean and green is the best place to buy it!
Pros: 2003 model, Genuine Avon s10 respirator, Has character
Cons: none
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes
