Q: Is the filter unused?
A: The filters are used and so are not sold as working.
Q: Does it come with instructions on how it works?
A: No, as they are ex-army, these are sold "as is" without any additional instructions.
Q: I was intending to use this item for airsofting but have heard stories of stock lenses shattering when hit by high velocity bb's. I was wondering if the mask comes with the polycarbonate lenses which are able to withstand this force or if i would have to modify them myself.
A: They come with the standard lenses as supplied, but I cannot give any indication of the force they will withstand.
Q: I know it is sold without guarantees but i just wanted to ask about the quality of the mask. Is it functionable? Are there really bad scratches on the mask visor? Is there an estimate on how much lifetime the mask has?
A: They are generally in good overall condition. As for being functionable, it is impossible to say. As they are used we do not know their history and so are unable to offer any assurances whatsoever.
Q: Do they actually work or are they replicas?
A: These are genuine issue British Army gas masks, although as they are used, no guarantee can be given to their effectiveness.
