Q & A's
Q & A's
Q: What material is the jacket made of?
A: This is 35% cotton and 65% polyester.
Q: The length of the sleeves and length of the jacket , for 43 in.size. Are the chest pockets big , like an original U.S. M65 jacket ?
A: The length of the sleeve when measured from the armpit to the cuff is approximately 18" and the length of the jacket measured from the top of the neck at the back to the bottom of the hem is 36". They are reasonably big pockets and measure approximately 7" x 5.5"
Q: Could I please get all the measurements for a size small please?
A: A size small would be a 92cm (36in) chest. The armpit to armpit measurement across the front is 22" and the arm length is 19". This jacket measured from the top of the collar to the bottom of the hem is approximately 37" in length.
Q: hi, you say there is no removable liner right? but is there an inner lining with padding, is there an extra inner layer for warmth?
A: There is a full length liner in the jacket, but it is not padded and is just more of a 'second skin'. This is permanently sewn in and can't be removed.
Q: From the picture it looks as if the jacket has a hood. Could you please confirm if it has please.
A: Yes, it has a hood with a drawstring concealed in a zipped collar
Q: Length of this jacket please?
A: This jacket measured from the top of the collar to the bottom of the hem is approximately 37" in length.
Q: Does this jacket or any others for that matter go to a 50" - 53" chest?
A: This one doesn't, but we have the standard M65 jacket (product ref HL10) which we have in a 3XL which is for approx 55 inch chest.
Q: Does this jacket come with a removeable liner?
A: No it doesn't.

Worth every penny
This 24.95 jacket is like new and everything is complete and works. I had the benefit of trying on the 39" and 36" in the shop and found the 36" to be a better fit. Too much room in the 39" for my 38" jacket chest. If you are going to wear a liner or layers of clothes underneath, then 39" would be best. It is fairly long, has plenty of room in the arms and the green is dark khaki, suits the design extremely well. And, it is quite warm for a non-liner M65.
Pros: Quality materials, Well made, Unbeatable value, Comfortable and fashionable fit
Cons: none
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes

Good service
Original supplied was externally sound but inner lining was badly torn. A phone call produced a replacement that was much better. A sound jacket that will last for years.
Pros: Just right. Quality jacket.
Cons: None.
Sizing: Feels about right

In good order, nice medium wieght, calf length warm coat.. It's a little long to termed a jacket, I wouldn't say it is a roomy fit.

Austrian M65 Combat Jacket
The jacket was ordered on Thursday afternoon, and it arrived first thing Saturday morning (brilliant). I ordered the small (I am a 42 chest) and with just a thin jumper or sweat shirt on, it fits real snug. It may be slightly too long, but at my height (5ft 4 tall) I expected this. It has washed really well, and all the zips and buttons work. My only complaint is that the draw string for the waist was missing, but this is easily rectified with a flat boot lace. All in all its a great coat and at a great price.
Pros: none
Cons: Missing draw string for waist
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes

A great jacket will last a lifetime
I have been wearing an Austrian M65 for the past 15 years and rather stupidly burnt a hole in it recently, so was really pleased to find that Mean and Green stock them and I ordered up a replacement. In my mind the best varient of the M65 there is, I prefer them to the original US version.
Pros: Classic style jacket, Excellent value, Almost industructable, Comfortable
Cons: No cons, buy one today!
Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes

Really good, old style combat jacket, jacket length may be an issue height wise.
I really like this jacket, it is warm, comfortable, robust and very functional. The only minor niggles I have are: 1) sizing, I am 5ft 9ins with 40ins chest so ordered a 100cm (M) size jacket. Overall a good fit although I feel the length of the jacket and arm length would suit a person of nearer 6ft better. 2) No badge, trivial I know, but I like a badge and I have whinged about this before with other Austrian items
Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Functional, Tough
Cons: Slightl long
Sizing: Feels large
Would recommend: Yes
