  • Complete set (2 heel plates, 2 toe plates, 10 toe screws and 12 heel nails)
  • Includes all fixing nails/screws
  • Cast iron

These classic cast iron heel and toe plates are still manufactured in a cast iron foundry in the UK over 100 years after they were first developed.

Putting plates on the soles of your shoes or boots will greatly prolong their life. And if you're after that 'drill sergeant click' or the 'crunch' of a marching regiment then these won't disappoint.

Fixing couldn't be easier. Simply place the heel plate over the area to be protected and tap each nail home with two or three sharp blows from a hammer. The toe plates use shorter screws to securely fix in place. Ideal for brogues, ammo and drill boots.

Includes everything you need to add plates to one pair of boots. You get 2 heel plates, 2 toe plates and the right number of nails and screws for fixing.

Choose the appropriate size based on the following (dimensions refer to the length of the heel plate from the top of the curve to bottom ends):

Small = 2 7/8" (appropriate for UK size 5-6)

Medium = 3" (appropriate for UK size 7-8)

Large = 3 1/8" (appropriate for UK size 9-10)

XL = 3 1/4" (appropriate for UK size 11+)

The approx width at the widest point for small and medium heel plates is 7cm, and for large and XL it is 7.5cm

Caution should be exercised when walking with heel and toe plates on smooth hard surfaces. Not suitable for soles with air pockets, e.g. Dr Martens.
