We're still in the process of transferring all our stock over, but our new shop is much bigger so we will be able to display many more products than before.

We love seeing photos of our customers wearing our gear. Tracie in Middlesex just sent us this picture of her army-mad 7 year old son Jack dressed head-to-toe in our kids army clothes. Thanks for the salute Jack! <<< Click the image to enlarge |

A few of the guys at Affiliate Window (the company that runs our affiliate programme) are about to raise money for the Prince's Trust by travelling over 4000km through India in a rickshaw. Along the way they have lots of activities lined up including helping out at an orphanage in Ahmedabad. Mean and Green are proud to sponsor their trip and we've provided various essential items from rucksacks to ration packs. If you want to know more, or would like to make a donation, visit their Just Giving page. <<< Click the image to enlarge |

Any parents serving in the Forces may be interested in "Soldier Oli". This is a rhyming picture book for children under eight years old. It tells the story of a soldier leaving his family to go on a tour and then celebrates his joyous return. Soldier Oli has been written in the hope that it will help children from military families understand and cope better with deployment and for other children to better understand army life. 50p from the sale of every book goes to support the Army Benevolent Fund. More info can be found at www.soldieroli.com.

We have revised the prices of our international shipping charges today. Although a lot of international orders will still cost us more than we charge to deliver, we will continue to absorb the additional cost and only quote higher postage where we absolutely have to. Our UK shipping rates remain unchanged.

OK, this might be a confusing first post of the year. There has been some confusion of late regarding the "grey" Alpha jackets. We've always stocked the gunmetal grey in the MA1, CWU, N2B and N3B. But this is no longer available in the MA1, CWU and N2B (but is still available in the N3B). The gunmetal has now been replaced by "replica grey" which is a bit darker than the original gunmetal. However, we seem to have received different batches of replica grey - the main difference is the knitted waistband and cuffs have a bit of a green hue. It's still a very nice colour, but it's just a little different. So, as we always try to give as much info as possible on our products, we have split the grey jackets into 3 types of grey: gunmetal (as we still have some stock of this), grey (the replica grey with the grey knitted parts) and what we now call slate (the replica grey with the green-tinged knitted parts). Clear? No, didn't think so! Just drop us a line if you need any further info.
