  • Set of 26
  • Cast iron
  • Textured grip surface
These classic cast iron boot studs are still manufactured in a cast iron foundry in Leeds where they have been made for over 100 years.
These are perfect for WW2 re-enactors to add to their boots. We sell them in sets of 26 (13 per boot). In 1941, a shortage of materials led to the reduction of hob nails in boots from 18 to 13 per boot. These have a textured grip on the surface of the stud.
Putting studs on the soles of your shoes or boots will greatly prolong their life. And if you're after that 'drill sergeant click' or the 'crunch' of a marching regiment then these won't disappoint. Often used in conjunction with heel and toe plates (sold separately).
Fixing couldn't be easier. Simply place the seg over the area of the sole to be protected and tap home with two or three sharp blows from a hammer. Ideal for brogues, ammo and drill boots.
Caution should be exercised when walking with studs on some surfaces. Not suitable for soles with air pockets, e.g. Dr Martens.
