The 1000 Mile sock is a sock within a sock. The inner layer stays with the foot, the outer layer moves with the shoe thus eliminating friction on the skin and reducing wear. The unique mixture of fibres helps to keep the foot cool, dry and blister free. A small toe seam and fitted heel are other comfort features.

1000 Mile Socks???????
Didn't get much more than 20 miles out of these. Wore them twice with work boots and the heels are giving out. Also the "double " sock is tricky to adjust for comfort particularly around the toes.
Pros: Warm
Cons: Uncomfortable, Don't stay the distance
Sizing: Feels about right

Follow-up by Meanandgreen: Sorry to hear they wore out, this is very unusual with these socks. However, 1000 Mile do offer a money back guarantee or replacement if they should wear out within one year from date of purchase.

I brought my youngest son a pair of these socks for cadets as he keeps complaining about getting blisters.He uses them all the time and swears by them, he said they are the best socks he's ever had.
